Yeah.. I did quite a few shootings with quite a few pics to edit and quite not the time to do so... but have no fear: Soon I shall load again and maybe you will like it.

... Thinking back this shooting was kinda weird.

It´s this girl that I began photography with and then for like 2 years we did nothing until this day. But we did it exactly the same way - no plan, no ideas, just the location and various clothes to choose from.

She just wanted to look good and post stuff on fb & co., while my goals have changed totally... back then I wanted to make pics that look like vogue, while now I want to make pics that really make a difference.. and carry more sex.

So it was like me, totally ego tripping, "I don´t give a fuck I want artsy pics"-like, and her, kinda the same way, wanting those vogue pics, posing for them.

As you can see the vibes were good tho =).

This one is kind of cool.. I don´t have all the pics from the shoot yet, I hope there´s cool stuff among.

Had a total rhyme flash caused by an incredible rap part at the end of a ... dubstep (?) mixtape my friend Smoka gave me. Thx for that again - I love it indeed.

Crowdsurfing

Crowdsurfing go the gross
who instinctively overdose
the holy work supposed
by life to get into their claws.

Hungry they are taking it
and make of it
some of the most divine in art
for you to taste a bit ...

... or more, so you can dive right in!
You never thought that one can swim
and surf so easily through life on earth,
giving sense to death and birth!

And all you know is that you, too
want to create something so cool,
while life's first step to make it real
is waking you up, which makes you feel

so small and desperate, needing lead,
whishing they'd never been to feed
your poor old mind with these ideas,
which seem "unreachable in years!".

But, see, these genious People know,
that it's no goal to finally show
the world what glory they created.
Instead they do it just to make it,

to express what's moving them,
give it form and reinvent
their selves right afterward the thing,
"being alive", it's called I think!

So you take care to stay awake,
do every single step you make
with all your heart, not just the mind
and soon you'll sing "I'm on my grind".

I made a total of like ... 150 pics and the destiny was one of the last three. It´s always worth it to keep going until it makes click and you look at the picture with nothing to add.

I think there is a certain point after which it gets only worse... with practise you can push that point forward until you get art out of everything. For some people that point is reached after they put their subject in the golden selection... for others it is reached after they came back a week later and put up a whole setting around the damn thing to realize what´s in their head.

(Not saying that that´s neccessary better... some do huge crap with huge settings and others, my friend Gbenard for example, just open up their window to express masterfully)

Yes yes... this is what happens when you ask me to grab sth to eat with you.

First day testing my new flashes and already I discovered their limits. I had the flash behind her on 1/4 power and the flash on her right on 1/16 power against the sunbounce... first I only had to wait like 25 sec after each shot for the one behind her to reload but soon the other one started taking very long, too. I shot much this day, but not THIS much. But well, for 90$ they are ok. Vivitar 285Hs.

Hooray! Finally I got these friggin cables to connect my Vivitars to the Pocketwizards! A whole new world of photography lies ahead now. This is my first experiment. See the edited version here =) it´s ok.. but I don´t like that all the contrast layers are making the colors so dirty.

This is the unedited version of my first experiment with the new reflector. I thought maybe you can benefit from me telling you how I edited it... very basic steps that work on almost every picture.

First: Skin smoothening. If the picture is too dark, give a curves layer on top to have better sight on everything. Now scan the whole pic, every spot that doesn´t fit, with either the spot healing brush tool or the cloning stamp. Depending on the skin it can take a while. Then put a b&w layer above, play with the tones until they appeal to you. Set the b&w layer on "soft light". Now you will have black areas, at least I had in this picture. That´s why you will create a duplicate layer of the skin smoothened picture, which will be placed over the original and under the b&w layer and go to image -> adjustments -> shadows / highlights and adjust the brightness of the shadows until you have a good tonal range again. I always get the best results when I set the "tonal width" to only 10-15% and play with the intensity more. For this particular picture I went on with dodging the eyes so the expression will come stronger. Now you create a duplicate layer of the last duplicate and go to filter->other->high pass. The pic will now be converted into a very flat version of the original... you will see only some details coming out of a grey background. If you set the radius very low you will see the only the very fine details, which will, with this high passed layer set on "overlay", have the effect of much more sharpness. Scan the picture for unnatural details after every step and eliminate them via layer mask to provide a more natural and realistic look.

... Et Voila, maybe your picture will look somewhat like this now.
